Getting to know Doren Tile & Stone
Meet the Owner:
Scott Doren has loved building and working with his hands since he was a little boy.
After high school, he completed his apprenticeship training through California's Tile and Stone Mason Union, and has now been setting Tile and Stone for more than 37 years. As a perfectionist in his trade, Scott is constantly growing in knowledge and expertise. His top-notch work has been featured several times in Architectural Digest!
Scott and his wife Cheri, moved to Eastern Oregon in 1997 to raise their young family. He initially started Doren Ceramic Tile and Construction to fill a void in Kitchen and Bath design and installation. Later, he began working with Granite & Solid Surface Stone Countertops.
In 2003, he completed his Solid Surface Fabrication training certification through ISSFA. A short time later, Doren Ceramic Tile and Construction became Doren Tile and Stone, opening the very first tile and stone retail store & Full Service Fabrication shop of it's kind in Eastern Oregon.
